The club shall be known as the CAVALIERS CRICKET CLUB


To promote and encourage the playing of cricket

To promote social events for members, family and friends of members


The club will be managed by a committee made up of officers elected at the Annual General Meeting and members co-opted onto the committee.

Duties of the Committee

  • To deal with the day to day running of the club

  • To manage the property and monies of the club

  • To ensure that the club conforms to the ECB Child Welfare & Protection Policy, including the appointment of a Child Welfare Officer (amendment adopted on 2nd April 2005)

  • To co-opt members onto the committee as and when necessary

  • To deal with any misconduct of members

  • To deal with any circumstances not covered in these rules


Annual subscriptions and match fees will be set at the AGM

Subscriptions shall be due on the 30th April or on some other date set at the AGM

Members joining through the season will pay a subscription set by the committee

In the event that any Members Subscription remains unpaid at the 1st May, match Fees for that member will increase by 50% or other such percentage set at the AGM, until the Subscription is paid in full.

Annual General Meeting

The AGM will be held in the Autumn of each year and will consider the following business;

  • Apologies for absence

  • Minutes of the last AGM and matters arising from those minutes

  • Reports from the Officers of the Club

  • Accounts of the Club and Treasurer's report

  • The Election of Officers of the Club

  • Membership and Match fees for the coming season

  • Any other business

Election of Officers

The AGM will elect the Officers of the Club yearly by ballot unless an Officer is returned unopposed.

The Officers of the Club will be those listed below and any further Officers necessary for the running of the Club

President, Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Captains & Vice Captains, Fixture Secretary, Social Secretary, Auditor, Scorer. Only the Chairman will have a casting vote.


The Treasurer and Committee will be responsible for the maintenance and production of proper accounts.

Financial Year of the Club

This will run from the 1st November to the 31st October
